What Is Biogas?

Biogas is methane-rich fuel created when organic materials break down without oxygen. When captured and cleaned, biogas becomes a reliable source for heat, power, and renewable natural gas. Common producers include landfills, farms, and wastewater treatment facilities that generate large volumes of organic waste.

Uses for Biogas

Biogas turns waste into a source of energy, fuel, and revenue. Producers can use raw biogas to generate on-site heat and power. Once purified into biomethane, it’s a drop-in replacement (or supplement) for natural gas. Even the carbon dioxide removed during refinement has commercial applications. Biogas production also creates a nutrient-rich substance often used as organic fertilizer. In short, biogas offers solutions to volatile fuel prices, energy shortages, waste management, and pollution.

CNG Solutions

Compressed natural gas (CNG) is cleaner and more efficient than conventional fossil fuels. A versatile energy source, it's commonly used in power generation, mass transit, and fleet fueling (e.g., Amazon’s heavy-duty CNG trucks). Using pressurized fuel requires specialized infrastructure for compression, storage, and distribution. FASTECH delivers solutions that keep operations safe at any scale.

LNG Solutions

Liquefied natural gas (LNG) is supercooled natural gas with higher methane purity and energy density. Stored at 1/600th of its gaseous volume, LNG is ideal for long-haul and heavy-duty transport by road, rail, and sea. Other uses include energy storage, power generation, heating, and manufacturing. FASTECH develops LNG systems that keep methane cold, safe, and code-compliant.

RNG Solutions

Renewable natural gas is a clean energy alternative that can be compressed or liquefied, just like conventional natural gas. RNG is functionally identical to methane derived from fossil fuels, serving the same uses with equal performance.
