FASTECH Builds a Shell HDV Hydrogen Refueling Station in Long Beach, CA

The Shell HDV hydrogen refueling station in Long Beach was the second of three planned HDV refueling stations constructed by FASTECH as part of the “Shore to Store” zero-emission trucking infrastructure program.

To facilitate round-trip trucking from the port to inland destinations, completing all three projects in close succession was imperative. At one point, FASTECH was working on all three Shell HDV sites simultaneously.

FASTECH Installs a New CNG Fueling Station for Food Express

Food Express—a bulk food transportation services provider—had a single diesel fueling island for their 60-truck delivery fleet. They wanted to install a new CNG dispenser on the same fuel island to aid their transition from diesel to compressed natural gas.

A new ~400-foot gas line had to be installed across a busy truck parking area. Installing new electrical utility infrastructure required several large precast structures to support future electrical services.

FASTECH Builds a Sixth Hydrogen Refueling Station for ICA

The sixth and final project in ICA’s first hydrogen refueling station program in North America. The objective was to construct retail hydrogen refueling station infrastructure at an active ICA petroleum gas station using NEL-supplied equipment.

The project was divided into two phases: First, relocating the current electrical infrastructure that covered the area designated for the new compound. Second, constructing the hydrogen station.
